Egon Schiele ”Die kleine Stadt II”, 1912-13
Until recently, I wasn’t actually aware that Schiele painted landscapes/townscapes. This is a view of Český Krumlov, a very small but beautiful bohemian town in the Czech Republic that I had the good fortune to visit a few years ago, and a town where Schiele spent a portion of his short life until he and his partner were chased out (perhaps for being a little too bohemian).
